Description
Wipers Time Druif- en PerenLikeur 70cl The name of this unique liqueur refers to the Wipers Times, the trench newspaper first printed in Ypres in 1916. Wipers (waaipers) is the incorrectly pronounced name of Ypres by the Tommies. The Wipers Times was way ahead of its time, and can be seen as a precursor of current publications such as ‘le canard enchaîné’ or ‘the Onion’ or the ‘Private Eye’, satirical magazines. The bottle is styled after an excavated, intact, British ration bottle, with glass cap. This drink accompanies your desserts or can also be served as an aperitif. We like to call this the marriage between Madame Pineau de Charentes and Mister Poire William. After all, when tasting you first taste that sweet grape, followed by a long, fresh green one aftertaste, this is the pear that also shows its presence. 18.5% alc.vol., 70cl, serve ice cold Edit
